Attorney Lillian Cheesman grew up in Greendale, WI. She attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison, majoring in Anthropology and Political Science. She worked as a legal secretary before returning to to Madison to attend the University of Wisconsin Law School.
After law school, Lillian worked as a criminal prosecutor. She now is a small business owner as a partner in a West Allis firm where she handles civil disputes, child custody & placement issues, and criminal defense.
Lillian has long believed in volunteering to help her community. She has volunteered as a mentor with Summit Educational Association which provides one-on-one tutoring and mentoring program for Milwaukee’s inner city children. Since 2008, Lillian has volunteered her time and legal expertise to protecting voting rights, ensuring every eligible voter can cast their ballot on Election Day.. More recently, Lillian and her fiancé have become involved in mentoring high school robotics teams, both in Franklin and in Waukesha. Lillian also serves on the board of the Milwaukee Robotics Coalition, a non-profit organization that is working to improve STEM education throughout the Greater Milwaukee Area.
Lillian’s hobbies include Irish Dance, having previously competed in the World Championships. She has also competed in triathlons and enjoys Dungeons and Dragons, gardening, knitting, and playing computer games.
